You won't find headshots or made-up biographies on this page. Plenty of casino sites invent friendly "experts" with a first name and a smile; we'd rather tell you what the work involves and who is accountable for it. Our editorial team signs the pages collectively, and every one of them goes through the same routine.
Four jobs, one page
A review or guide on Ontario-Casinos.ca passes through four roles before it's published. On a small team one person can hold two of them, but never the writer and the fact-checker on the same page.
Research
The researcher starts with the regulator, not the casino. Is the operator on the AGCO's list of registered iGaming operators? Which websites does that registration cover? Only then do we look at the operator's own terms: withdrawal limits, verification rules, payment methods, complaint contacts.
Testing from Ontario
Ontario casinos use geolocation, so a site behaves differently once you're inside the province. Our testers open accounts and play from Ontario, on a laptop and on a phone. They note how long identity checks take, which payment methods actually appear at the cashier, and how quickly a withdrawal lands. If we couldn't test something, the page says so.
French adaptation
The French version isn't a copy pasted into a translator. It's rewritten for Franco-Ontarian readers in Ottawa, Sudbury, Hearst, Hawkesbury or Toronto, using Canadian vocabulary and checking whether the casino offers French-language support at all. Sometimes the French page ends up with a different emphasis, and that's fine.
Fact-checking
A second person checks every factual claim against a source we can name: AGCO registrations and standards, iGaming Ontario's public information, the operator's terms. Anything we can't confirm is either removed or labelled as unconfirmed.
The review routine
- Each operator page is reviewed again at least every few months.
- Registration status is rechecked whenever we update a page, and right away if we hear an operator has left the Ontario market.
- Cashier details, game counts and support hours are taken from a fresh test, not copied from the previous version.
- Review pages show when they were last updated.
Readers often spot things before we do. That's why the next part matters.
When we get something wrong
Send a correction to [email protected] with the page address and what you think is wrong. We check it against the source. If you're right, the page is fixed, and a significant change (a wrong licence status, a wrong withdrawal rule) gets a note in the text explaining what changed. We don't quietly rewrite history.
Operators sometimes ask us to change a review. They get the same treatment as readers: show us the source, and we'll correct facts. Opinions stay ours.
About the old byline
Before October 2026, this domain displayed a page copied from another affiliate site, signed with that site's author name. That person never worked for Ontario-Casinos.ca, and the byline has been retired along with the copied text. You can read more about the domain's past on our about page.
